“I try to read as many articles from different perspectives as possible in order to become a better ally. I also have been trying to amplify Black voices by sharing information that I've read from reliable sources and by signing as many petitions as I can. Lastly, I speak up to anyone that I hear saying racist things or making micro-aggressions.”

“I write quotes on the beauty of the variety of skin colours. I also use my social media platforms to take actions and support nonprofit organisations that fight against racism. If we smile at the beauty of the variety of the trees, animals and the beautiful hue of colours, then we all should appreciate the beauty of the variety of skin colours.”

— Eduek, 18, Nigeria

“I recognized that being light skinned gives me privileges; I have never been treated differently because of the color of my skin. I will never fully understand what the Black, Andean or the Indigenous communities struggle with in my country, but I can be their ally. I speak out about it in my social media accounts, educating people can make them realize the wrong in their actions and it helps initiate a conversation.”

— Sofia, 20, Peru
