“After reading ‘Who is a woman in your life who you admire?’ I spent time thinking of how women are capable of bringing change, even in a patriarchal society, and how education is a powerful weapon. I also reflected on how the courage to believe in oneself leads to bright places.”

— Ishita, 14, India

“One of the best articles on Assembly is ‘All I want right now is to go to school,’ because it describes the tough situation that Afghan girls are currently facing under the Taliban. It is a very intense and meaningful article. When the Taliban took over Afghanistan on 15 August 2021, many girls saw their dreams to get a degree or a diploma wiped away. It's very important for everyone to get informed and speak out about the situation.”

— Cristina, 20, Italy

“‘What I wish I had known when I graduated high school.’ As a senior in high school, that article inspired me about my future. It made me realize that life is a magnificent journey and what I'll do is explore the world to know where the journey will take me.”

— Aurellia, 17, Indonesia

“‘Six young climate activists to follow during COP27.’ When I read about what these girls are doing, it influenced me to do more. They are so inspiring and they are examples of what exemplary leaders look like or will be doing.”

— Makia, 20, U.S.
