Emily, 22, Australia

“I am studying media and politics abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark for a semester. It’s been one of the most eye-opening experiences immersing myself in a completely new culture, making international friends and overcoming hurdles I never imagined I would face. The best part of my week has been getting my new bike in Copenhagen. Bike is the new car over here.”

Julia, 14, U.S.

“Recently I made crepes for the first time. Crepes are very thin pancakes. I made them because I wanted to try something from another culture, and crepes originate from France!”

— Julia, 14, U.S.

“The best part of my week has been to help make braille notebooks for visually impaired students at the Bangkok School For the Blind. It helped me become more compassionate and motivated.”

— Hilight, 15, Thailand

“My dad came back to Italy after reporting from Ukraine for the past six months. I am proud of what he has been doing, but I am glad he is at home now.”
